WORKSHOP 1   CHIN NA
Chin Na means seize and control, or literally twist and bend, or as we affectionately call it in class, "twist and shout". It is the Tai Chi Chuan art of intercepting an incoming opponent and controlling them through joint locking. Subduing the adversary in a fashion that is flowing and dynamic allowing safety for the individual while decreasing the potential of the attacker for their intended nefarious schemes. The joint locking techniques are paired with cavity pressing, bone misplacement, arterial sealing, acupuncture pressure point  and muscle capturing movements which prevent the attacker from obtaining their desires and allow you to stay safe. These are dynamic martial techniques that require little strength but do require proper attention to angles, timing, leverage, and pressure. No previous experience is necessary. Everyone will come out of the seminar with an enhanced sense of preparedness. The three hour workshop will cover a great deal of material and will increase the confidence of every player.
WORKSHOP 2   THE SEARCH FOR SOONG:  Tai Chi Meditation
Discover the basics of Tai Chi Meditation practice.   In this workshop, David will teach Taoist breathing practices, active meditations, utilizing breath and movement, the microcosmic orbit, the Breathing Hand, and a variety of Tai Chi Qigong exercises that will alter one’s awareness and bring one to a state of extraordinary depth of relaxation and concentration.  No previous experience is necessary.  The Search for Soong is a journey towards understanding what it is like to feel both energized and relaxed at the same time.  Soong is a wide open state of extraordinary awareness that incorporates deep relaxation and a reaching span of energy.   +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++   Name:_____________________________________________Phone_____________________   Workshop 1______Lunch_____Workshop 2_____  Both workshops and lunch____________   Please send with payment to:  David Chandler   945 Vauxhall St. Ext  Quaker Hill, CT  06375 or you may register in class.  Email Debbie at deborahpiacenza@sbcglobal.net or call Debbie at 860-442-9462 if you have any questions .  I will email directions upon request.
